Adding to the portfolio of projects JUO has completed with RUAH Community Services, the Rockingham workspace interior is located within an existing structure on a prominent corner site. Flooded with light from the south and east thanks to its floor to ceiling shopfront glazing and generous 2.9m ceilings, this workplace is a vibrant place to work.
Given the nature of the business, staff are often confronted with emotionally charged clients. It was decided that the aesthetic for the workplace should be softer, calmer and more feminine than a typical corporate interior. As such, the regimented workstations are softened by a playful colour changing palette depending on which way you approach through the use of different coloured fabric screens. A new organic carpet design complements the conventional linear designs, with the neutral carpet in the work area morphing into a colourful, domestic tone for the circulation space and meeting environment.
The colours of the carpet are accentuated by the paint colours and glazed partitioning suite - a radical new product that JUO has been working closely with the creator, QRK, for the past year.
Incorporation of new products and clever space planning make this project not only functional but innovative. |
